What is Mustard Seed Mondays?

Mustard Seed Mondays is a faith-based wellness community led by Chef Deloraine Powell,
where we nourish the body, mind, and spirit through food, faith, and fellowship. Each session
combines scripture, science, and soul care — showing how small changes in faith and food
can lead to big transformation.
We believe in the power of starting small — like a mustard seed — and growing in faith, health,
and wholeness.

What happens during a Mustard Seed Monday session?

Each session includes:
– A short devotional and prayer
– A nutrition or wellness teaching focused on gut health, inflammation, and brain
balance
– A live cooking or fermentation demo with simple, nourishing recipes
– Group encouragement and reflection
– Optional Faith & Food Challenge to apply what you’ve learned during the week

What questions should I ask my doctor about my health?

Your health journey is a partnership — you and your doctor work together for your healing.
Here are some empowering questions to ask:
– What could be the root cause of my symptoms, rather than just treating them?
– Are there natural or nutritional options that could help?
– Can I have a copy of my lab results to better understand my health?
– What lifestyle changes would support my recovery?
– How can I safely reduce medications as my body heals?
– Would you be open to working with my health or nutrition coach as part of my care
plan?

Who is Mustard Seed Mondays for?

It’s for anyone seeking healing, balance, and hope — especially women and men 50+ who
are managing health concerns such as high blood pressure, diabetes, inflammation, fatigue, or
stress. Whether you’re new to holistic wellness or continuing your journey, this program meets
you where you are.
Our guiding principle is simple:

” Good, Better, Best — Never Settle for Less. Let Your Good Become Better,
and Your Better Become Best.”

What does “eating healthy” really mean?

Eating healthy isn’t about dieting — it’s about nourishing your temple with foods that bring
energy, clarity, and healing.
It means:
– Choosing whole, natural foods instead of processed ones
– Eating more plants, fiber, and living foods that support your gut
– Reducing sugar, refined oils, and excess salt
– Listening to your body — and feeding it with love, not guilt
At Mustard Seed Mondays, we teach you how to make small, steady improvements — from
good to better, and better to best — so your healthy habits grow stronger over time.

Is Mustard Seed Mondays online or in person?

Most sessions are hosted on Zoom so you can join from anywhere. We also are planning for
in-person gatherings and retreats in the Ft. Lauderdale/Sarasota/Bradenton area for deeper
connection and hands-on learning.
