Gena Blas

“I met Chef Deloraine while we were studying together to become Certified Functional Nutritional Counselors, and through that experience we built a real connection around our shared passion for holistic health. She invited me to become part of Mustard Seed Mondays, and I’ve been with this amazing community of women since the summer of 2021. Our focus is on educating primarily women about how to achieve better health: mentally, physically, and spiritually, and through live food demonstrations. I’m so grateful to be part of it. What I love most is how our team—Chef Deloraine, Marcelle Jones, Ingrid Campbell, and myself—each bring our own unique specialties that complement one another and make this forum so rich and supportive for the women we serve.”

Marcelle Jones

“My love for community started as a determined (okay, maybe bossy) teenager at the High School of Art & Design in New York City, where I rallied our homeroom class to shine in everything. I’ve always believed that collaboration is the secret ingredient that makes everything work.

Meeting Chef Deloraine at one of my community events sparked what became Mustard Seed Mondays. I was teaching seniors how to eat for better health—managing diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and cancer. When Chef Del joined us, things shifted. She has this incredible gift for making you believe vegan oxtail can replace the real thing—and actually taste amazing! My clients fell in love with our gatherings.

When COVID-19 moved us to Zoom, the knowledge and spiritual growth deepened in ways I never imagined. For me personally, it’s been life changing. Over three years, I lost 45 pounds and reduced my blood pressure medication from 10mg to just 2.5mg of Amlodipine. But it wasn’t just about weight loss—it was about reclaiming my whole life.

Each woman brings beautiful gifts to our gatherings. Gena Blas shares real-life health wisdom through common sense and holistic choices. Chef Del proves healthy food can taste fabulous. And Elder Ingrid brings calming presence and reminds us of the healing power of spiritual growth.

Mustard Seed Mondays is a once-a-month conversation that has the power to change your life. I know because it changed mine.”

Elder Ingrid Campbell

“Elder Campbell is the passionate founder of Aloud Ministry, a faith-based ministry dedicated to empowering women to freely express themselves through the lens of faith. Aloud Ministry serves as a safe, nurturing space where women can share, heal, and grow spiritually together.

Elder Campbell’s journey with Mustard Seed Monday began through her dear friend, Marcelle Jones, who introduced her to Chef Deloraine—a gifted Chef, health coach, and caterer whose delectable, eye-catching, and nutritious dishes have graced many of Elder Campbell’s seminars and conferences. What she loved most about this partnership was the spirit of unity it represented: Marcelle’s willingness to help and Chef Deloraine’s creativity and excellence reflected the same values that Aloud Ministry stands for.

Elder Campbell later joined the Mustard Seed Monday team, which meets on the first Monday of each month. Alongside Marcelle Jones, Chef Deloraine, and Genna Blas our Functional Nutrition Counselor, we create a unique blend of faith, fellowship, and inspiration. Elder Campbell brings the spiritual element to each gathering by opening in prayer and often sharing a brief sermonette. Whether her message connects directly to Chef Deloraine’s culinary topic or takes a different path, it always uplifts, inspires reflection, and brings joy to everyone present.”

Chef Deloraine

“Over five years ago, I set out with a simple desire to follow my heart and help others live healthier, fuller lives. What I didn’t realize then was that in helping others, I was also healing myself.

Each month, as we gather for Mustard Seed Monday, we share not just information, but transformation. Every topic we explore, from the fundamentals of health and wellness to the message of “Let Food Be Thy Medicine”  reminds me of how powerful knowledge and faith can be when shared.

Through teaching, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how vital it is to eat green and live clean. Each lesson strengthens my conviction that wellness isn’t just a lifestyle,it’s a movement. A movement to become agents of change, uplifting others through love, faith, and community.

I believe deeply in the saying, “Each one, teach one.” Every time I teach, I receive even more in return, more wisdom, more strength, and more faith. Because when you plant even the smallest seed of hope and health in someone’s life, it grows beyond measure.

There are times I may not feel my best, but it’s my faith my Mustard Seed Faith that keeps me going. It’s knowing that this calling, this mission, is bigger than me. When I put myself aside and pour into others, I’m always blessed in return.

People often tell me I’m always studying, researching, and earning new certifications  and they’re right! I love learning because the world of health and wellness is always evolving. But my greatest joy isn’t in collecting knowledge,it’s in sharing it. Even when I “geek out” or pour out a firehose of information, my heart’s goal is simple: to empower others so they can help themselves, their families, and their communities.

I’m grateful for this journey and for those who walk beside me in faith, Marcele Jones, Ingrid Campbell, and Gena Blas, the heart and foundation of Mustard Seed Monday. Together, we’ve built a space where people can grow in wisdom, wellness, and the Word.

And through it all, I hold onto one of my guiding principles:

“Good, Better, Best,Never Settle for Less. Let Your Good Become Better, and Your Better Best.”
It’s all about progress, not perfection. Every small step, every choice to grow, every act of faith brings us closer to becoming who God created us to be.

As we move forward, may we continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and compassion.
For as Matthew 17:20 reminds us, even the smallest faith can create great change.
So let us hold on to that Mustard Seed Faith, for with even the tiniest seed of belief, we can move mountains.
